The second of this Winter’s XC races is on Sunday, 24th November. It is at a new venue, Cliff Lakes, near Tamworth, B78 2DL, about 4.5 miles south of Tamworth, off A51 between Dosthill and Kingsbury. Two laps, each approx. 3 miles; comprising grassland, hard bridle path and short tarmac road. Some steep gradients, so studded shoes recommended.
No changing facilities, but toilets at the café.
As usual, the race starts at 10.30. Google Maps says 45 minutes from Duffield Road, so I suggest meeting at Darley Park Drive car park for those who want to car share, in order to depart at 9.15.
Normal car parking charges at the venue will be waived until 1.00pm.
This is a team event, open to all club members. We had a great turnout and result at the first race – let’s have the same again please!!!
We have two large flasks for tea and coffee, bring a mug if you want some.
Let me know if you can make it, so I know whether I need to bring my kit.
The other race dates are:
November 24th Cliff Lakes (Peel)
December 15th Shipley Park (Smalley)
January 19th Allestree Park (Derwent)
February 2nd Boothorpe (South Derbyshire)
March 8th TBC, possibly Hatton (Sinai) or Dave (Foremark)
